Fics like they (I) need you

“I need to hold you close,” Clark whispered, his voice carried on the sails of the wind passing between them straight into the sharp intake of breath Bruce took at those words. “What?” His mouth hung open. His words were slowly coming back to him less slurred, his mind clearing itself of the sludge that weighed it down piece by piece. The rest of his body would catch up in a matter of hours, he was sure. But for now he was rooted in place under the weight of Clark’s gaze. “I’ll need to hold you close to me,” Clark repeated. “To fly. Is that alright?” He looked worried now, like Bruce might say no, like – “Yes,” Bruce breathed. Always yes. ----------- A story of a man who walks the night but yearns to reach his hand out to the sun, and another who basks in the light but finds himself increasingly drawn to a figure in the dark. This is a detective love story.
