Fics like Deus Ex Machina

In the year 44 BBY, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn receives a vision from the force. A warning - of blood and death, of the Republic fallen, the Jedi slaughtered - if the future continues on its current path. A path of destruction, with two figures, bright as binary stars at the center of it all. And so, Qui-Gon chooses a different course. One where he doesn't take Obi-Wan Kenobi as his padawan, where he never meets a small, strange boy on a hot desert planet. Years later, in the thick of the clone wars, Qui-Gon receives another message from the force. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a farmer on Bandomeer. Anakin Skywalker is a washed-up podracer on Tatooine. The two of them are going to save the galaxy. They just don't know it yet.
