Fics like A Place to Call Home

Tommy knows he’ll never find a pack. Not with the world he lives in. Not with where he is right now. Humans have always looked down on mythical beings, “others” like him. But a werewolf in the foster system? That’s a special kind of hell. Tommy’s never been… wanted. He’s always been the scapegoat, the “weird one,” the monster. Sure, he looks human enough, at first glance. But people look closer, the adults read his files; they see the sharp eyes and the fangs, they read the words “lycanthrope,” and they no longer see a person. They see something to blame, something to take out their frustrations on. They see something less than human. They see a creature undeserving of love. So yeah. Tommy knows he’ll never find a pack. And he’s ok with that. He has to be.
