Fics like A Commissioned Hug

Wade is a mutant who faces one of the worst sides of living in a world who judges by appearance, the loneliness, it's growing inside him, making it harder to want to stay alive. He wasn't born a mutant, no, it was a biological work accident that left him with a regenerative body, terrible looking scars and a premature retirement. He knows he's lucky, he doesn't need to care about money. And he tries to focus on other things, fanfiction, online friends he will never meet, and vídeos of people who create things from scratch. That's how he has the idea, there's this YouTube channel he follows of a mutant man who uses his claws to turn wood into anything. And he accepts commissions, so Wade asks for a wooden doll to keep him company.
