“Tommy…” Techno whispers, and it makes Phil lift his head to look at the other. He’s more put together, with less tears and more grit teeth, but his deep voice still cracks as he says, “He said he’s… cursed.” Phil flinches back, eyes blowing wide as his gaze snaps between both of his remaining children, but before he can even process, Techno is correcting himself with a wince, “No... He is cursed.” It takes a monumental effort to get his tongue working again, and Phil has to swallow down the nausea as he peers down at his youngest son’s dead eyed face once again, “What…?” He can’t help but croak, “He’s… what? Like-” He glances up at Techno again, “Like you?” Techno shakes his head, “No.” But then his eyes darken and a brittle scowl tears across his face, “But maybe… it would have been better if… he was.” (Or Tommy was cursed at a young age, way back before he had even met his family. Which meant that in all the struggles that come later... he also must try his very best at protecting his personalified emotions.)
