Fics like The Moral Ruination of the Vinland Saga Anime; OR, "Where did anime Thorfinn get that crack pipe??"

Part 1, Thorfinn ❤️ Ketil: How Thorfinn was deliberately rewritten in the anime to absolutely exalt Ketil and "both sides" the issue of slavery, in a way I think most viewers missed. How this involved literally removing Arnheid's name from a line that does mention her in the manga. How highly respectful honorifics for Ketil were added back into Thorfinn's anime dialogue, when the manga makes a point to show him dropping them. How Thorfinn and Einar are both fundamentally different people in the anime now, in a way that has destroyed any future seasons of the show, because anime Thorfinn is not a believable human being unless you assume he retained his belief that victims deserve whatever they get. Part 2, Some Shit That Is Just Stupid (SSTIJS): Ketil's anime-original backstory, how it completely missed the point of his character and the entire purpose of this arc, how it randomly destroyed Sverkel's character and Arnheid's narrative arc for no reason, and more on why this whole disaster shows a grievous misunderstanding of the Vinland Saga manga that wouldn't bode well for future seasons, even if these specific missteps could be retconned. Also, Thorgil! And I didn't like that either.
