Fics like Damage Gets Done

Two months after the bombing that crushed his leg, Buck is struggling to deal with the possibility that he may never be a firefighter again. Still suffering from agonizing pain and extensive nerve damage, his doctors refer him to a specialist clinic which may be his only chance to return to active duty. To Buck, it seems like all hope has been lost. Then he meets Clay Spenser, a man who is also dealing with a potentially career-ending injury and a troubled past. In the months that follow, they learn more about friendship and resilience than either of them ever could have expected. Sometimes healing is about more than the physical recovery. Sometimes it’s about the people who are there to help you through it. --- OR: A 9-1-1/SEAL Team crossover where Clay Spenser and Evan Buckley end up at the same rehab facility in Los Angeles
