Fics like The Story I Thought I Knew

Anaïs Montgomery thought she knew the story. She'd read the books. She'd watched the movie. She'd fallen hopelessly in love with the television series. Lestat de Lioncourt and Louis de Pointe du Lac were characters she'd spent years reading about, watching, and imagining. Then, at twenty-one, Ana moved to a tiny town in North Carolina to start the life she'd carefully planned for herself. It was supposed to be simple: a new apartment, her first job as a librarian, and maybe a cat. Instead, she began hearing a melody she couldn't explain, seeing a woman who shouldn't have been there, and noticing things that refused to fit into any rational explanation. Until someone whispered her name. And the story she thought she knew began to unravel. Because sometimes the most dangerous thing about knowing a story is believing you know how it ends.
