Fics like Happy Ending

No matter how many times the CIA’s cronies taught him to trust no one, you’re the only constant in the stream of creation, you’re the only thing that can be relied on, Dirk can’t help but get attached. This is especially unfortunate given that everyone in the last 16 years has left him. Todd's the only one who looks like he might stay, but with his pararibulitis, the only safe place for him is the Rowdy 3's van, which isn't going to stick around. Dirk's not letting him go without a fight, even if that fight means learning a new skill that might not even be possible for him. Oh, well, desperate times and all that.
