Fics like what do you want to do? ruin me?

“Don’t.” Anakin held up a hand, stepping back. “Don’t give me that look. Don’t pretend like you understand what that was like for me. You don’t. You can’t. Because you weren’t the one left behind.” The words were possibly too heavy and accusatory, but Anakin didn’t care. There was something to be said about the shift in perspective when you felt your best friend’s heart stop beneath your hands, when he died in your arms and then came back from the dead acting like your heart hadn’t stopped too. Like your lives weren’t intertwined since the moment you shook hands in the Jedi Temple, like you wouldn’t lose a limb for him. Like you hadn’t already. Written for Day 9 of Topwan Week(s): Fix-It
