Chris has been shouting at him for a few minutes, "w-what" is all he can manage, stunned by the pale mess left behind where a certain golden retriever used to bounce around in colour. "There's letters here, o-one says for everyone to read it" Chris is boring holes into the letters like they'll reveal it's contents to him telepathically. Eddie stumbles over to the dining table where his son is telling the truth, Eddie's heart, already deep in his ass, quivers at the thought of where the hell buck is and what the fuck is he about to read. Or: buck gets deployed mid lawsuit and leaves, the 118 don't notice for 2 months. Buck's gone for a year and returns raving about a lady who is soon to join him in LA. How dumb will Eddie Diaz be?
