Fics like Marbled Brownies

“She doesn’t really like white chocolate, though,” Takumi complains, before shaking his head. “Well, whatever. I guess we’ll just have to make sure we have bigger moulds for White Day next year…” Yugamu smiles softly when Takumi says that and turns his head away so he won’t glimpse it. It’s embarrassing, but Takumi says things like that so casually. ‘We’ll have to’ and ‘next year’, as if it’s just a given that they’ll still be doing this a year from now… That Takumi will ask Yugamu for his help again. Maybe it reveals how out of his depth Yugamu still is, though they’ve been cohabitating for nearly a full year at this point already… but it makes him feel warm on the inside to be wanted so casually. Not with the fierce intensity that he’d imagined as a kid, when he couldn’t even picture a kind of love that wasn’t suffocating, but something more… mundane, maybe. That’s how it feels being by Takumi’s side more often than not. Comfortably mundane. --- Yugamu helps Takumi make Tsubasa chocolates for White Day.
