Fics like House Call

For a period of about thirty seconds, there is complete silence, a total lack of reaction. It’s a long enough wait that Takumi is almost wondering if Omokage might not even be in there, in which case he’d have to change tracts and search the school. The bio lab seems as likely a place to find him as any, but he’s found Omokage in other locations, periodically… Takumi’s heart starts to race at the thought that Omokage might’ve left the school for any reason, and he’s thinking about whether he ought to run and check the fire extinguishers in the entrance hall when he finally hears rustling and a sigh from the other side of the door. Footsteps, heavier than Takumi is used to from the assassin, prelude the sound of the door unlocking. Then it opens just a crack, revealing a sliver of Omokage, one greyish blue eye peering groggily out at Takumi. --- Takumi notices Omokage misses breakfast and decides to check in on him.
