Fics like Arches in a Pylon

Images of the future solidified in Sephiroth’s mind: he saw a youth who inherited his height and Cloud’s blonde hair. No, instead, it was girl with a furrowed brow and uninterested fighting style. Or maybe it was a boy who had narrow green eyes and a penchant for wielding materia. Each possibility loomed just out-of-reach. What could Sephiroth, of all people, teach someone about being alive? He was only faking it himself. All his progeny’s goodness would come from Cloud. Sephiroth would only supply its genetic code. Sephiroth (imposing, weak, monstrous, humble) falls pregnant. Cloud (strange, familiar, distant, possessive) takes responsibility. Threatened by Shinra’s exploitation, they run away together and make an attempt at normalcy. They can never truly escape where they came from—but they’re going to try anyway. This results in complications.
