Fics like Wrap Everything In Rainbows

Ilya rubs the sleepiness from his eyes before focusing on the screen. He reads Harris and Shane’s conversation, then casually sets the phone down. “Is probably nothing.” “Nothing? Management never makes players come in on their off days for ‘nothing’ meetings,” Shane’s panic is prominent. “Moya tykva (my pumpkin), is not worth worrying about right now. They probably just want to give us award for being most amazing and handsome hockey husbands.” “Ilya, we are the first ever hockey husbands.” “I know! Is why we deserve this award!” OR- When the league sabotages Shane and Ilya’s first Pride Night, they start a rainbow rebellion. The boys fight an uphill battle against toxic hockey culture through acts of defiance and protest, attempting to force the league to be more inclusive and accepting. While still actively fighting his own inner demons, Shane is forced to confront blatantly homophobic policies as the lines between activism and obsession blur.
