Fics like A Contract

A cold stare was all Diluc could offer. “Do you have any…notebook?” he asked, a trace of diffidence lingering in his tone. “Perhaps a pen, too.” Ajax arched his eyebrows, a little caught by surprise. “…I think so. Why?” “I want to document my journey.” Diluc’s voice still dripped distrust. The fire crackling in the young Harbinger’s bedroom mirrored the soft rage lurking in his heart. The other young man softly whistled. “Oh, I see. Is it going to be…something epic, right?” He looked truly raptured by the stranger. “It’s rare people come to Snezhnaya as simple tourists.” Diluc looked down at his hands. He sucked in a deep breath. “Maybe.” Red, invisible like a ghost, lingered on his palms without really being there. “Maybe it will.” or, On the verge of hypothermia, Diluc is saved by a mysterious boy who happens to come from Morepesok. Such a minor setback in his journey turns his avenging pilgrimage into a little, temporary distraction.
