Fics like The Underground Justicars

Martlet always was lonely, outcast, confused, and hesitant about her place in the Royal Guard. After everything she'd seen and heard she started wondering whether monsters really were justified in hating humans. What started the war between humans and monsters, what was her purpose, did humans deserve to die or did she? As a small errand goes horrendously wrong she finds herself the ally and guide of the bizarre human Minos, and as forces she cannot comprehend swirl around her, she holds true to one thing: her sense of justice. Will that be enough?
