Fics like Gunpowder and Cocoa Don’t Mix Very Well

Clover had accepted his fate. Giving up his Soul to free Monsterkind was his final, ultimate act of justice. As his vision blurred, he surrendered to the euphoria, certain his story had ended. Then his eyes opened. He was back where it all began. Disoriented but alive—only one thought came to mind. Finding his friends. — Flowey had planned to let Clover rest–honest! But as his vine hovered over the Save button, ready to overwrite Clover’s file–a flash of memory made him pause. It was the run where he lost. That alone was rare. But it wasn’t the loss that made him pause. No, It was who he saw in it. Something shifted in his mind and as the gears turned a new plan started to form. — Chara hadn’t expected to wake up, not after their plan to free Monsterkind had failed. They especially hadn’t expected to wake up to a Cowboy slaughtering monsters. They reached for their save, determined to stop him. — The timeline has become unstable from the three beings forcefully seizing control over it in rapid succession. The instability grew to be severe enough that the boundaries between past and future have started to blur into an unrecognizable present.
