Fics like Child Of The Sun

Clover had done everything he’d set out to do. He had found out what became of the Fallen Children, helped his new friends resolve their issues, or at least put them on the road to doing so, and now all that was left to do was to finish his journey…and face the destiny that awaited him at the end of the road he had chosen. But what if, instead of immediately hopping right to giving up his soul, he took the time to stop and weigh all his options? Along with the pros and cons of each? And in doing so, what if he realised there was still one more loose end to tie up? Perhaps even one more soul that needed saving? It's not like this one deviation from the script will change all that much, right? ….Right?
