Fics like (It's not a sacrifice for) You

“Hello! Good evening, good evening, good evening, good evening. And tonight on the couch we have a very special guest – or should I say guests. Hollywood's favourite playboy, Tom Ryder, is going to join us, ladies and gentlemen! And with him is the elusive Mr Ryland Grace, the man best known for locking down the world's sexiest man, as voted for three years in a row! Join me in showing them a warm welcome.” Everyone assumes Ryland Grace is the one making sacrifices for Tom Ryder. They’re wrong. Tom has no intention of asking Ryland to choose between his students, his research, and the man he loves. If that means missing a premiere, rearranging his schedule, or making Hollywood bend around a middle-school teacher? Then so-fucking-be-it. Tom Ryder has always been very good at getting what he wants. This time, what he wants is to make room for Ryland. Or: The one where the world thinks Ryland would do anything for Tom, while Tom quietly rearranges his life so Ryland doesn’t have to.
