Fics like A Thread Across Time ‖ The Odyssey FF

History was supposed to be something Eliana Díaz studied—not something that could reach across centuries and drag her into its bloodstained pages. Nineteen-year-old Puerto Rican nursing student Ellie expects her college trip to Greece to bring ancient ruins, museum tours, and several exhausting days tolerating her party-obsessed friends. Instead, one mysterious artifact transports her into the world of Homer’s Odyssey. Stranded thousands of years from home, Ellie finds herself aboard Odysseus’s ship during his desperate voyage back to Ithaca. Her knowledge of the ancient tale should be an advantage, but knowing what comes next does not mean she can stop it. Every choice risks unraveling fate—and drawing the attention of gods who know she does not belong. As monsters close in and the sea grows crueler, the legendary figures Ellie once studied become real people she cannot bear to lose. Caught between the home she left behind and an epic whose ending has already been written, she must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice to change the story. The gods may control fate. But Ellie was never supposed to be part of it.
