Fics like To Be Both

Peter had always been a pretty all-or-none principle kind of guy. Action potential, critical threshold of -55 millivolts, all that jazz. His sophomore year of high school, all he’d wanted was to be Spider-Man, to be an Avenger, to be treated like an adult. That disastrous school trip, all he’d wanted was to be Peter Parker, to be a normal teenager, to be allowed to be a kid. And now, with this mutation? Nope. No, thank you. He was shutting that problem right down. Below the critical threshold, sorry, no can do on the metaphorical neuron firing today. Or: A Brand New Day study of acceptance, growth, and what it means to be “both.”
