Fics like even as a shadow

"Come back! Even as a shadow, Even as a dream." - Euripides, Herakles --- His dreams are full of Obito. The good ones are snatches of memories, missions together that Kakashi once felt were meaningless and now wishes ardently that they could return to. He would pull a hundred weeds, paint a thousand fences, and catch a million ill-tempered cats if it meant that Obito would somehow come back. The bad ones are about the cave. In those, everything is too real. Every smell, sight, sound is precise and punishing and Kakashi wakes up with the taste of earth and copper on his tongue --- Kakashi is supposed to be dead, but Obito saved him. Obito is supposed to be dead, but Kakashi isn't so sure that he is.
