Fics like I'd Do Anything

“Hmm, well, I don’t want to be the reason you aren’t out there meeting the love of your life, or at least someone to have fun with.” Buck didn’t have the courage to say it, to say outright that he didn’t want to be a burden to Eddie, the way he had been with so many other people in his life. He’d never felt like a burden to Eddie and he didn’t want to start now. “Buck, I’m right where I want to be,” Eddie spoke softly, almost a whisper. His fingers traced Buck’s eyebrows, his birthmark, down his nose, as Buck’s eyelids fluttered closed. “I have everything I need right here.” Buck’s stomach flipped as Eddie continued to run his fingers across his jaw and down his throat. Maybe it was the exhaustion, or the way Eddie was being so soft with him, maybe it was the domestic bliss that filled Buck’s chest every time he came home to find Theo snuggled in between Eddie and Chris on the couch. OR: Buck and Eddie are already living in domestic bliss and raising two kids together but Eddie's internalized homophobia and upbringing make it difficult to allow himself to feel joy and desire.
