Fics like Belly of the Whale

For the longest time, Lex thought he knew why and how Superman did everything. He hated to admit it, but throughout its short captivity, Lex had been proven wrong. He did not know Superman as well as he thought he did. That enraged him. Lex was waiting for it to show its true colors. At any moment, it would turn to him and spit venom he knew it carried just beneath the surface. Growing tired of its farce, the alien would show just how much ego and evil were stored underneath the fun-loving, human facade it portrayed. Lex hated Superman with a burning passion. However, that hatred didn't call for the murderous intent that many thought it did for him. He didn't want to kill it; he wanted to possess it, understand it, control it. OR Lois and Mister Terrific are much slower to save Superman. Lex acquires a new science experiment.
