Fics like Xylem and Bone

When Dr. Ryland Grace discovers a mutilated, radioactive body covered in coagulated blood and burrs show up out of literally nowhere inside the makeshift ocean the Eridians made for him, he questions both his sanity and the known laws of the universe. But his new dome-mate becomes a puzzle he can't help but piece together, and his curiosity gets the better of him as he tries to understand exactly who and what the universe delivered to him. After being saved from the brink of death by rock aliens and a crazy scientist, Simon learns to deal with his current predicament and new features after his body was mutated by the blood eel. But the ever-looming "Dr. Grace" that keeps treating him like a specimen to experiment on is grinding his last nerve, and he fears his desire to live has ultimately changed him forever. Can they ever learn to coexist? Or will the only other human connection they've had in a while end in tragedy?
