Fics like Confirmation Bias

Confirmation bias: the human tendency to search for, interpret, and recall information that aligns with our existing beliefs, while ignoring or dismissing evidence that contradicts them. No matter what Grace tries to tell him, Simon is very sure that the man is divine in nature. It just makes sense. ~~~ Simon winds up in The Enclosure, naturally. Grace is super down to have human company on planet Erid, but he really wishes someone would have given him a little bit of warning first. Especially about Simon’s religious cult upbringing — if he had known about that, he maybe could have planned a better-worded greeting that wasn’t basically, “Be Not Afraid.” He really set them up for failure with that one. (Simon thinks he's dead and that Grace is an angel for A While due to continued misunderstandings) [NO AI USED, AND DO NOT FEED MY WORK TO AI, I EXPRESSLY FORBID IT.]
