Fics like rescue me again, please

Clark has tried everything he can to get Batman to talk with him, as Superman. He’s had no luck. He’s not lying to himself, he’s a little too interested, but he wants, desperately, someone who knows how to be a hero in a city that feels like it’s eating itself alive. And Batman, who's been operating in Gotham years before Clark Kent became Superman could be that person, if he’d just talk to him. When Clark gets a tip that the person who’s responsible for most of Gotham’s problems is masquerading as beloved philanthropist playboy, he sees a chance to get closer to Batman. All he has to do is turn his investigation to Bruce Wayne. And Bruce? He’s more than concerned about Superman. Finds the alien a threat, one he can’t trust. So when Clark Kent, a reporter who has interviewed the alien, reaches out to him, he sees an opportunity, a chance to find out more about the alien and determine what his weaknesses might be. After all, Brucie Wayne might be getting rescued by the alien regularly, but all he sees then is the Superman persona. He needs an in to the person behind the mask. And if that comes from seducing the shy, too handsome for his own good reporter, well. Alfred’s always telling him he should have a little fun.
