“What’s inside?” I ask. I walk into the room and stand in the doorway. Rocky scuttles up next to me. He’s shaking. “I don’t- I can’t explain. Don’t understand.” The door squeaks open. Rocky and I take a step back. He’s pressed up against me. A man steps out. A man. What the fuck. This is not real. I’m frozen. Rocky is frozen, he sees him too, it’s not just me. We must be experiencing shared psychosis; there is no way any of this is real. OR The TARDIS hops aboard the Mary for a pit-stop and we realise that what is a normal Tuesday for The Doctor and Rose is decidedly NOT a normal Tuesday for the inhabitants of the Hail Mary. OR This is just what happens when a hard sci-fi protag meets a soft sci-fi protag.
