Fics like Safety in the Sour Apple Tree

“Family is Key.” Those words rang hollow in Lloyd’s mind as he listened to the late spring rain hail harshly on the training ground’s tiles. The warm showers his only company in the halls of the monastery. Their heavy chimes and belts drowning out foreign silence that had ensnared the walls and furniture, making them ripe with dust as it lingered. But how can it be the key when there isn’t any family left? .... Or, how Lloyd and Cole end up with partners and a gaggle of children each, Nya lost her husband, Kai gained a gremlin daughter, Zane unlocked the pandora's box that is his family, Jay doesn't have any idea what's going on, Morro gets another chance, Echo can't keep hold of his free will, Maya and Ray learn how to be supportive grandparents/parents/aunt and uncle, Wu is MIA, Garm ain't doing much better, a bunch of abandoned children find a home and somehow they all learn the true meaning of the word family
