Fics like Untamed Melody

Nick and Judy create a bucket list of things to do before they die, except that Nick is closer to death following an accident that leaves him as a ghost. Cue the “before-I-kick-the-bucket list”, proudly coined by Nick himself. May or may not include items such as kiss Judy Hopps or tell Judy I love her. Just your average rom-com until it isn’t. As Nick comes to terms with his new state, he struggles with being seen and heard by those who know him, and the power he once had to move objects. The resolution: opening up his heart to feelings he’s tried so hard to bury, and reconciling with a childhood he doesn’t want to remember. In addition, seeking help from both unlikely acquaintances and familiar faces. Time is running out. Bit by bit, as Nick regains Judy’s attention, he grows closer to her - and to sealing his fate. Meanwhile in Zootopia, fresh crimes are committed and new mysteries arise. Based on and inspired by the 1990 film Ghost (+ the musical), title parodying the song Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers.
