“You said you trust people? So tell me, who preens your wings?” As if summoned, his wings twitch to attention, warm-toned feathers bristling, but clean, smooth, no longer painful, and the reminder of such a safe space makes his instincts swell to attention. He ignores it in favour of lifting his head and snapping, “Techno. Obviously. Who the fuck else?” “Other then him. We both know he’s a given at this point.” Puffy continues smoothly, and something about the way her eyes meet his prickles goosebumps up his spine. “I-” He goes to snap, but his voice cracks audibly weak, “I don’t need everyone’s help with that. It’s only a two-person job innit?” “So why not Grian?” She asks, lifting her head to lean forward onto her knee with her elbows, “Why not Phil? They both have far more experience with preening than Techno does. Do you not trust them enough yet?” (Or Tommy goes through some Therapy, and it brings up the fact he has walls he no longer needs to survive, so maybe, just maybe, it's time to tear them down.)
