Fics like Death and the Maiden

Having observed the atrocities of her children for centuries from the Other Side, Esther realized that killing them was not enough; their immortality had prevented them from learning. She then used the last of her remaining energy as a spirit to cast a single, irreversible spell: "May the humanity I stripped from them be the cause of their downfall." I don’t know when it happened. I only know that one day I simply woke up knowing things I shouldn't, seeing things I didn't see with my eyes—realizing I wasn't myself. Call it a blessing or a curse. I just wanted to stay away. «It's the fate of Saviors. You give and give… and give… and for what? They pick the fruit, they cut the branches, and all that's left is this… shaky stump. That's why you never, ever hear these words about a Savior: "They lived happily ever after."» * most probably gonna add pairings later. I didn't think of adding Damon, but everything lead to there.
