Fics like Be My Mirror, My Sword and Shield

“Maybe when he does get his memory back, he can fix this stupid thing.” That’s what John had said after they escaped the Void's shame rooms, tugging uselessly at the bend in his shield, the one Bob had turned into a taco. Not that he was mad at Bob about it or anything — the poor guy had already been through enough. So he didn’t bring it up, resigning himself to a bent shield, until one day Bob approached *him* about it, only a few weeks after they had settled into the Watchtower. ~*~ A humble explanation for why John kept his taco shield.
