Fics like The Real Metal Sonic: Metal Sonic × Murder Drones

Metal Sonic was created to surpass Sonic. But when an accident involving the Phantom Ruby throws him into Copper-9, he finds himself trapped in a world where machines have families, friendships, and the freedom to choose who they want to become. No Eggman. No Sonic. No mission. As Metal searches for a way home, he begins questioning the purpose he was created for, forming unlikely bonds with the inhabitants of Copper-9 and developing a turbulent relationship with V, a Disassembly Drone just as dangerous and distrustful as he is. But Metal has not been forgotten. While Sonic, Eggman, and their allies desperately search for him, the distance between Mobius and Copper-9 begins to collapse. And when two universes that were never meant to meet finally collide, Metal will have to answer something no programming ever could: Will he keep trying to become the true Sonic... or finally discover who Metal Sonic really is? ⚠️CURRENTLY ON HIATUS⚠️
