Fics like What Blood Remembers

Louis has known for months that it was Lestat who saved him at the Théâtre des Vampires trial, not Armand — and that Armand directed the whole thing. But knowing isn't the same as living through it. When Lestat can't find words for what that night cost him, he offers his blood instead, and the past opens beneath them like a trapdoor in a stage floor. They go back twice: to a glass house in Dubai, where Louis first learned the truth from a stranger's tape recorder instead of from the man who loved him, and to a theatre in Paris, to watch, together this time, the exact half-second it cost Lestat to save a life he never let anyone thank him for.
