Fics like You Gave Me Tomorrow

Uzi sees a stranger every time she looks in the mirror. The girl she used to be died with her mother. All that's left is guilt, self-hatred, and the maddening whispers that never leave her alone. She hates the voices. She hates the nightmares. Most of all, she hates the drone she's become. But she loves her. Enough to give away her sanity. Her safety. Herself. She would do it again. She would do it every time, to save her. And she would never stop. But when everything falls apart worse than she ever imagined, one must wonder: after all she's done, who will save this broken girl who gave everything away? > A story where Uzi tries to be the best big sister ever. > This story is not just pure angst. It is about a deep, beautiful love in a universe that was never meant to live. It is also a dark, heavy story that goes beyond a decade of losing the sense of self, and what it takes to claw your way back from absolute rock bottom. (Heavy Dead Space lore knowledge not required)
