Fics like Freckles and Sea Glass

How had Shane Hollander lived this long without cataloging all of the colors in Ilya Rozanov's eyes? Oceans of swirling blues and greens and golden flecks that reflected the summer sun. They had always been there, but now it was like he was truly seeing them for the first time. They made the world quiet. The first thing Ilya Rozanov remembered about meeting Shane Hollander was his freckles. Even as a cranky seventeen year old, he was charmed by them, but seeing them up close, tanned from the summer sun, he realized they were actually a thousand tiny stars. He would never have guessed he would be entrusted to care for those freckles. The universe works in odd ways. OR: Shane has a horrible panic attack hours before his parents are coming to the cottage for dinner with them, and Ilya makes it his goddamn mission to take care of the situation in the most Ilya way(s) possible: doting, clinical level understanding of panic attacks borne from childhood PTSD, lots of love, Slavic-military family level cleaning, humor, and vodka (not because he's nervous, just you know. He could really use a stiff drink).
