Fics like (don't) take it slow with me

Shane Hollander is only the second omega to play for the NHL. He's grateful, really, to Montreal for giving him this opportunity. It shouldn't matter that he's only there because of a development in sports-science that borders on pseudoscience. Or that he's only allowed to play as goalie, where extra padding and his alpha teammates can protect his delicate omega sensibilities. But it does. Especially when his contract has a no-mating clause the team goes uncomfortably far to ensure compliance with or when his rival's touch triggers a very inconvenient mating bond before he can even play in his first game. — ABO Inconvenient Soulmate AU with non-traditional pack dynamics that loosely follows canon. Happy ending! Contains spoilers for Heated Rivalry (book and show), and the Long Game.
