Fics like one last day

Once, Ilya had watched a video of a woman who was taking her dog out on one final adventure. Her dog was very old, and sick, and she wanted to let him have the best day ever before she took him to the vet to say goodbye. They went to the beach, and had ice cream, and a steak dinner, and visited his favourite dog park, and by the end of the video Ilya had been an inconsolable mess. It was devastating. Today, he felt like that dog. - or, author had a weird few days, wrote this instead of the chapter it was supposed to be, and now it's being posted because why not. BEFORE READING THIS FIC: this is technically an alternative to chapter 4 of the other fic in this collection called "something has to change" Could this be read as a standalone? Maybe, but I don't recommend it. There is context for certain things (like the team knowing Shane & Ilya are together) that only make sense if you've read "something has to change". And this is bordering on a crack fic anyways. SHTC is story I love dearly and is probably (definitely) a better read than this lol. But if you're just here to watch Ilya freak out and think that Shane is going to dump him just to get proposed to instead, welcome, enjoy :)
