Fics like Happy Days Are Closer

Buck is drowning in adoption paperwork when Eddie finds a form he wasn't supposed to see yet. It's fine. It's not a big deal. Buck had a whole plan for telling him, and it definitely didn't involve Eddie reading his name on a caretaker designation form at the kitchen table while Buck was spiraling over exactly which trauma qualifies as his worst. It's fine. Really. Enter Chris, who says nine words and accidentally implodes both of their brains. Again. It's fine. I swear. or what will now be lovingly referred to as the paperwork spiral of 2026.
