Fics like Anything You Need I Will Provide

This is easy. This part of the after. Conversations that don’t mean anything. Conversations about bad smut and the garden that’s failed, because neither Vash nor Wolfwood have the ability to keep even hearty things alive in the climate. Talking about Wolfwood’s troublesome motorcycle or Milly and Meryl’s latest front page story. All easy and palletable. Frustratingly empty and Wolfwood feels himself losing Vash with each of these conversations. “Vash.” Vash’s eyes darken immediately. “Hm?” “We should go somewhere." “Go somewhere?” “Sure. Why not?” “Why so?” Wolfwood came prepared for this. If he tells Vash that he’s worried Vash is withering away here in this house, that Wolfwood misses his spark, his life, that Wolfwood can’t bear how little he can help him, then Vash will find a way to dismiss it. Talk around it, laugh it off and tell Wolfwood to go visit Livio in November or join Midvalley when he travels. “You’ve been all over the place, yeah?” Vash’s mouth purses lightly. “Sure.” “Well I sure as shit haven’t, you should take me somewhere.” Or Vash and Wolfwood heal in the aftermath of Knives one destination at a time.
