Fics like The Pit (not so) Straight

Ilya Rozanov is at the start of his rookie year in F1, and he hasn't done anything special. He's know for his harsh interviews and not much else, and it's starting to take a toll on the pit wall. When his race engineer quits, he thinks it's all over and, honestly, if he can't get his act together it might be. Shane Hollander is sweating through his shirt. He's always felt out of place, in school, when he took his collage classes, at internships, even on his Timbits hockey team at five years old and (now especially) on the pit wall. He already felt inadequate sat next to people ten years his senior when he was working for the RedBull junior team, and now, for some reason, he's been called up to the big leagues. What the fuck. OR After a bad start to the season, Shane gets called up to be Ilya's race engineer for the Canadian Grand prix. things get better. Told alongside radio messages.
