Fics like Broken: where do we go from here?

Charles and Erik have always had different ideas on mutantkind and on the human world, but they've never really been enemies: they trust each other more than anyone else. What if someone were to exploit that trust? What if they thought the most important person in the world betrayed them? They've both been broken: where do they go from there? --- OR: Charles has been kidnapped and tortured by a shapeshifter who looks like Erik, while Erik has been convinced that Charles betrayed him and all of mutantkind. Pain and chaos ensue (I'm bad at summaries, but if you want to have your heart shattered, read this story)
