Fics like Dear Reader

In an attempt to create the best possible timeline, Dr. Strange decides the X-Men need some... restructuring. Specifically, if Charles and Erik had been openly gay from the start, they could have saved hundreds of lives. So, naturally, he swaps out present-day Charles and Erik with their 1963 counterparts to lead the school and take up the mantel while their older selves get to retire in peace. With a cup of repressed sexuality, a dash of truly terrible hair (Charles), and seasoning to taste with unlimited pining, surely nothing could go wrong. Chaos ensues. Oh! And it starts in January, 2020
