Fics like like cats and (soul) dogs

At an adoption fair, Anya selects Ilya Rozanov to adopt her. But Anya comes with her own built in best friend, a black cat who has selected Shane Hollander as her new cat dad. What follows is, in no particular order: a brief fake dating scene, the animals parent-trapping our heroes, weekly dinner dates so the animals "don't miss each other," cat-sitting, a lot of yearning, and finally a love confession. A one-shot regular guy AU where an unlikely animal friendship brings Ilya and Shane together (magically? it's unclear).
