Fics like Loop My Arms Around Your Neck

When Simon wakes up in a completely different environment, he's not expecting that he actually survived. He's not expecting the doctor dressed in too-colorful clothes either, but he comes to appreciate it all sooner rather than later. Grace was not expecting to ever have human company again, but one day, the Eridians find a human out in space and bring him home. They've both been traumatized, they're both fucked up, and together they learn how to live again, falling in love along the way and doing everything in the wrong order, but it works for them all the same. Or: Another Simon appears mysteriously and survives then falls in love with Grace fic, with lots of crying, and loving, and eventually kissing. (This is a slow burn buckle in for a long read!) (Now with artwork!)
