Fics like Softly

During the mission to Nibelheim, Cloud Strife had the unfortunate timing to go into heat after suppressing it for as long as possible since he went to Midgar to follow his dreams of being a Soldier. However, he knew just the place to hide and wait out his heat. Unfortunately (fortunately?), a certain alpha caught wind of his scent and followed, leading to an unexpected encounter between two lonely souls that decided to bond as mates. Zack accidentally locates them in his panicked search and reports. Which in turn brings a slightly amused Tseng to determine whether to safely move the pair or let them be until they’re out of the honeymoon phase. All the while Nibelheim is shellshocked once news spread that Midgar’s most desired bachelor is unavailable.
