She may not be his soulmate, but he wants a partner and to be married, so he proposes. She tells him she has four children: three boys and a girl. However, the youngest daughter, Miriam, tells Jack that his name is Dennis. Jack rolls with the tide. He tries to be a good husband. He tries to be a good stepfather.
