Fics like Against All Odds

This wasn’t supposed to happen. This was meant to be an easy mission, if there ever was such a thing; more like routine. It was the type of op Omega had run at least a hundred times by now, one she barely even had to plan with the rest of the squad she had been entrusted with leading. Rescue and retrieval. It was the first true job Omega had run with her brothers when they started working for Cid, and they would continue to run it dozens of times over the course of Omega’s training. It was almost second nature to her now. She had prepared for every contingency. Every contingency except for this, because this was no longer a simple rescue and retrieval. This was a hostage situation. And the hostage was the closest person Omega had to a father.
